Million Minutes is a Catholic youth agency that empowers young people to lead transformative social action, placing their voices at the heart of ministry and inspiring action through Catholic Social Teaching.

On 15 June, young people accompanied by staff from Million Minutes travelled to London to join the Columban Missionaries Britain for a day centred on faith, social justice and human dignity. As part of the programme, they took part in a peaceful prayer witness in support of refugees and people seeking asylum, reflecting on how Scripture and the Christian tradition call Christians to uphold the dignity of every person.

The day explored the Gospel call to welcome the stranger, including the powerful reminder that Jesus himself experienced life as a refugee. Reflecting on the experience, Agents of Change Young Leader Ioli Charalampopolou said: “The experience strengthened my appreciation of the role faith communities can play in advocating for human rights and supporting vulnerable people. It demonstrated that religious belief is not only expressed through worship but also through action, service, and standing alongside those in need.”
