About Us

HCPT is a registered charity offering pilgrimage holidays, to Lourdes in the south of France, for disabled and disadvantaged people from around the UK and further afield. The letters “HCPT” stand for the Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust.

Every Easter around 1,000 disabled and disadvantaged children enjoy a fun and safe week in Lourdes, staying in hotels with their volunteer helpers.

Each Summer over 1,500 people, many of them with disabilities or life limiting conditions, enjoy a week at HCPT’s Hosanna House in Bartrès near Lourdes.

HCPT is a charity with its roots in the Catholic faith. Our services are open to all. Volunteers and beneficiaries come from all walks of life and from all faiths and none.

We are grateful for your support. For HCPT to continue helping children and adults in need, we rely on donations and volunteers.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

How is HCPT Funded?

HCPT is funded by a combination of donations, legacies, fundraising events, grants, and the efforts of our amazing volunteer fundraisers. Central fundraising plays a key role in supporting our work — helping to subsidise the cost of pilgrimages, provide medical support, and offer assistance to groups that need extra help. Without this generosity, the pilgrimages simply wouldn’t be possible.

Volunteer with us

We have so many opportunities for volunteering at HCPT:

Volunteer helpers support vulnerable children and adults during our pilgrimages to Lourdes. Find out more about volunteering on our Easter or Summer pilgrimages.

Specialist volunteers support HCPT in areas such as fundraising, leadership, liturgies, music, nursing, safeguarding and spirituality, either on pilgrimage in Lourdes or at our head office in Rugby, Warwickshire. If you have skills in these areas please contact your local group or contact our HQ.

Senior volunteers help lead the organisation.
