If you're going through a hard time, we're here to help you find the support you need,
and if you're looking to give back, we can help you find the right volunteering opportunity.
Individuals
If you're going through a hard time, we're here to help you find the support you need. We can point you towards trusted local charities and services, including help with finances, crisis funding, funeral funding, shelter, foodbanks and mental health support.
If you're looking to give something back, we can also assist to help find the right volunteering opportunity for you.
Parishes
Group facilitation: supporting groups such as SVP or Justice & Peace to explore Catholic Social Teaching or consider ways they can further engage parishioners.
Sacramental preparation: sessions for Confirmation groups connecting the gifts of the Holy Spirit with social justice, workshops for First Holy Communion groups exploring faith and social justice, including input for parents and links with SVP Mini Vinnies.
Catechist support: practical help for those leading faith formation.
Resources: to support prayer, reflection and action.
Schools
Primary: assemblies and workshops to explore Catholic Social Teaching and put our faith into practise, an introduction to local and diocesan charities, and resources to support wider learning and key dates.
Secondary: assemblies, form time sessions and workshops, group facilitation for student leaders or social action groups, an introduction to charities and opportunities to get involved, and resources to support your school's Catholic ethos.
School staff: INSET day keynote from the Director on Catholic school identity, social justice and holistic education, chaplaincy support, and networking with other schools and practitioners across the Diocese.
Resources
We've created a collection of free resources to help parishes, schools and individuals. From seasonal resources for Advent and Lent, to guides on homelessness, refugees, Laudato Si' and engaging with politicians. There is something here whether you're leading a group, preparing a lesson or looking for personal reflection.
