As Director, I am delighted to welcome Michael to the team as our Development Officer. Please keep him in your prayers as he begins this important ministry.

In his new role as Caritas Development Officer, Michael will be supporting, developing, and expanding the various projects of Caritas Brentwood. Working alongside the Director, he will contribute to initiatives and conversations that strengthen the ministry of charity throughout the Diocese.

Michael comes from Shoeburyness, located in the southeast corner of our Diocese. He grew up in and continues to be an active member of the parish of St George and the English Martyrs, leaving only to pursue his studies at the University of Kent in Canterbury. There, he earned a BA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies and History.
His passion for Catholic Social Teaching stems from his upbringing and early involvement in his parish’s Youth Justice and Peace Group. This commitment has only grown over the years, most recently through his work with the National Justice and Peace Network, the School for Synodality, and in his most recent role at Million Minutes, a Catholic youth agency that promotes and supports youth-led social action and advocacy.
