Since 2011, SiLENT has empowered people to embrace silence as a powerful act of reflection and solidarity. Silence has deep roots in the Christian tradition, especially during Lent—it’s a time to pause, reflect, and listen.

Million Minutes invites you to be part of SiLENT 2026, our inspiring campaign rising vital funds to support our work with young people across the country.

During Lent, they are asking you to stand in solidarity with silenced young people. By participating in SiLENT, you’ll amplify the voices of those who are often overlooked and unheard- standing in solidarity with marginalized young people and helping to create a world where every voice matters.

What is SiLENT 2026?

Our SiLENT campaign has been a powerful initiative over the last 15 years, inspiring people to take a stand by staying silent and praying for those who often go unheard.

The campaign creates a reflective space for people to understand the power of listening and standing in solidarity with the marginalised voices of young people. During Lent, since 2011, friends and supporters of our work have pledged an amount of time to be silent, gained sponsorship, and raised awareness of the voices of young people.

Where does the money go?

The money raised goes straight back into our work at Million Minutes across the country.

We exist to create a Church where young people take transformative social action, rooted in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and to listen to, understand and respond to the evolving needs of young people.
