After more than 140 years of supporting individuals and communities across the UK, Saint John of God Hospitaller Services has announced a new trading name: The Do Good Charity. The rebrand, which officially launches on 15 September 2026, reflects the organisation's desire to communicate its purpose more clearly and make its work more accessible to a wider audience.

The charity says the decision to adopt the name The Do Good Charity is rooted in a simple objective: to ensure that its name immediately explains what it exists to do. The phrase "Do Good" captures the organisation's longstanding mission of helping people in need and making a positive difference in society. According to the charity, the new name is easier to understand, easier to remember, and offers a clearer way to communicate its values and impact.

Chief Executive Paul Bott describes the change as an important step in the organisation's ongoing evolution, enabling it to provide support to even more people while remaining true to its core mission.

While the public-facing identity is changing, the organisation emphasises that its fundamental purpose remains unchanged. The services it provides, its values, and its commitment to the people it supports will continue as before. Existing projects and programmes will remain in place, and the charity's legal identity will still be Saint John of God Hospitaller Services Limited. Governance, leadership structures, trustees, and staff also remain unchanged.
