Caritas Social Action Network, in collaboration with Caritas Diocese of Brentwood, is delighted to launch a new resource for young people.

This new resource is built upon Love the Stranger, a 2023 pastoral response to refugees and migrants written by the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales. Love the Stranger: A Catholic Response to Migrants and Refugees for Young People will be released on the 29th September 2025, with an online launch event held at 4pm.

Siân Thomas-Cullinan, Director of Caritas Brentwood, said:

“We are so pleased to bring out this resource for young people. Recently, we have seen plenty of misinformation and misunderstanding regarding migrants and refugees, so now feels like an opportune moment to create a space for reflection and dialogue especially within our schools and our parishes.”

The youth resource is grounded in the Catholic Church’s rich tradition of social teaching and includes scriptural passages, prayers, and thought-provoking questions to help engage young people on this important topic.
